~ The Portrait Commission Process ~

Creating a portrait of your pet is exactly the same as painting a portrait of any other beloved member of your family.

A photo is chosen, canvas layout options are discussed and agreed upon, preparatory underpainting stages are observed by the client, either in person, or by email.  The client is involved in the creation of the portrait from inception to completion.  The final painting is shipped when the client is pleased with the portrait.

At all times, the client is part of the creative energy essential to make the portrait come alive.

Digital photos of the painting will be sent to you for your approval as it progresses.  A final image will be sent to you for your approval before shipping the finished portrait to you.  Payment may be made by check, Money Order, or Paypal.

The finished oil painting portrait will be shipped to you two to three months after the final composition has been agreed upon.  I paint in the Old Masters Technique - many layers of oil paint.  This is a labor intensive, time intensive technique that cannot be rushed.  I allow 3-4 months for completion.

• Shipping costs  and sales tax (where applicable) are not included and are the responsibility of the client.
• Artist owns all copyrights to artwork.
